Beneath the stars

The Chorégies d’Orange, a summer opera festival held in the French town of Orange, is inviting opera and classical music lovers to its ancient Roman theater for performances of Rigoletto sung by Leo Nucci and Nadine Sierra, and for Sondra Radvanovsky and Marcelo Álvarez’s performance of Aida. Also on the program: Beethoven’s Ninth performed by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France under Myung-Whun Chung; bass-baritone singer Bryn Terfel; The Phantom of the Opera (film-concert) set to music by Jean-François Zygel; and Holst’s The Planets, a symphonic poem illustrated by some incredible NASA images, with Jesko Sirvend conducting the Orchestre National de France. Air France is a partner of this sensational event.
