Since 2013, the airline has been regularly upgrading its services for all. Over a period of several years, it aims to provide the best in terms of seats, entertainment, lounges and customer relations, for the benefit of all passengers, in all cabins.

Redesigned cabins

Redesigned cabins More than one-third of the long-haul fleet is now fitted with these new cabins (44 B777s will also be similarly equipped this summer): the La Première designer suites and the Business cabin cocoon in the sky, with its elegant seat that converts into a real bed measuring nearly 2 meters. Everything has been conceived to offer an irreproachable sleeping experience; every detail was designed for the well-being, comfort and privacy of each passenger.

Premium Economy and Economy cabins also offer greater comfort. The innovative concept of the Premium Economy seat in the new B787s (and on the A330s in 2018) make it one of the best on the market: greater recline, ultra-comfortable, with more legroom, additional storage spaces and, as before, a fixed shell for more personal space.

On medium-haul flights, the high-quality leather seats with detailed touches illustrate this renewal. Right now, 24 A319s and A320s offer these cabins. The A321s will be modified by the end of the month. They will also have an individual USB port for recharging your devices during the flight. These all reflect the airline’s continued move upmarket for all flights departing from Paris-CDG.

One of the world’s best Business class services

The new in-flight Business* service, based on aesthetic design and freedom of choice for the passenger, is available on the most competitive long-haul flights. The success of these redesigned cabins has inspired the airline to continue this regular upgrading policy and to best meet customers’ expectations, while providing a French-style art de vivre.

Meals are customized and better presented, and adapted to the rhythms of each passenger. As in a restaurant, orders for the main dish are taken at the start of the flight, followed by individual table service, complete with a tablecloth. This elegant plating is in keeping with the standards of French gastronomy.

The second option, on request and presented on a tray, is served up to 1 hour 15 minutes prior to landing; on short flights such as Paris/New York and extra-long flights, like Paris/Singapore or Paris/Tokyo-Haneda, an à la carte menu served at your seat is available between the two meals, with a wide selection of sweet, savory, hot and cold options.

Passengers in the La Première cabin enjoy the exclusive experience of a prestigious starred restaurant, a genuine symphony of flavors that transforms your meal into a unique moment of pleasure and discovery.

A flavorful gourmet experience

In the Business cabin your gourmet itinerary begins with a glass of champagne. On our intercontinental flights from Paris to certain destinations, French and international starred chefs take turns offering you one surprise after another.Passengers aboard flights to Europe, North Africa and Israel are served breakfast with delicious warm French pastries. During lunch or dinner time, you can enjoy a full gourmet meal on flights longer than 2 hours 30 minutes.

A French-style meal

The quality service in Premium Economy cabin includes a fresh, gourmet meal. A glass of champagne is served as an aperitif (except for flights to Antananarivo, Saint-Martin and Havana), followed by a flavorsome starter to whet your appetite. You then choose between two hot dishes. Are you heading to Asia? On certain destinations, you can sample local specialties. Your meal ends with a delectable dessert, followed by coffee, tea or an after-dinner drink, along with chocolate. Let us pamper you!

Gourmet cuisine in the sky

In the Economy cabin, enjoy a culinary experience steeped in French tradition. Bread, wine, cheese: your menu is based on the iconic ingredients of a French meal. On intercontinental flights, champagne is offered as an aperitif and you can opt for one of two hot dishes.* On longer flights, a buffet service is available, with a wide selection of delicious, light and nutritious options.

Passengers aboard flights to Europe, North Africa and Israel are served a delicious breakfast and a meal adapted to the time of day and length of the flight: on short flights, pastries are served in the morning, and a sandwich at other times of the day; on longer flights,** a tasty hot meal.

Lounge upgrades

At Paris-CDG, Paris-Orly and in other destinations, the lounges have been renovated and redesigned, one after the other. They are more modern and more comfortable, and the catering and well-being facilities are constantly being improved. The lounge in Terminal 2F at Paris-CDG has recently reopened, and the one in Terminal 2G is soon to follow. The entrance areas have been redesigned to enable passengers to move around as easily and comfortably as possible.

International awards

Committed to an extensive move upmarket for all its products and services, Air France has received multiple awards. The digitization of its services now offers full multichannel service to respond to its customers 24/7, in France and abroad. In 2016, it took first place for its customer relations in the Transport sector.

Its La Première cabin and La Première lounge at Paris-CDG have won several prizes, including those awarded by professionals, who named La Première on the China route as the best cabin, as well as the Skytrax award for the best restaurant in a first-class lounge.

Its Flying Blue frequent flying program has also received awards, in recognition of the continuing efforts in the Best & Beyond program, an innovative concept driven by two key words: comfort and pleasure. Everything has been designed to reinject magic into travel.

Connections and entertainment

Comfortably settled into your seat, you can select your program on the latest-generation touch screens; they are easy to use and fast, with a large choice of more than 1,200 hours of programs (films, animated movies, music, games), for entertaining both young and old. By the end of the year, several aircraft in the fleet will be connected to the Internet, which means that you will be able to access various services via a portal selling a WiFi pass (Basic, Standard or Premium).

Kids, time to eats!

In all Air France cabins, on flights longer than 2 hours and 30 minutes (except for flights to or from Yerevan and Tunis), children are served their own special menu. For your babyfrom 6 to 24 monthsa baby meal tray, complete with a jar of savory baby food and an organic dessert, plus milk and ladyfinger biscuits. Our passengers aged 2 to 8 are served a children’s meal: salad, casserole, bread, apple juice, fruit salad. Air France offers kids a menu consisting of organic products, adapted to their needs and tastes, all served in fun, practical dishes (photo). From 9 to 11 years old, this menu is available on request, at least 24 hours prior to departure. Otherwise, the child will be served an adult meal tray.
