From the heights of San José to the port of Casablanca Travel by Air France now boasts two new destinations, San José and Casablanca. The new Paris/San José service provides a great opportunity to discover the young capital of Costa Rica, surrounded by majestic mountains and volcanoes. Situated at an altitude of 1,200 meters, in the heart of the Central Valley region, San José is a distillation of Spanish-American culture, but also European with its typical Belle Époque architecture and its French café in the Barrio Amón quarter. As for Casablanca, the backdrop to a legendary film (with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, 1942) and economic capital of Morocco, it is the largest port in North Africa. The city, whose name means “white house,” is graced by unique architectural sites, including one of the tallest minarets in the world, that of the Hassan II Mosque (left-hand photo).
