In 2016, the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris launched Pousse-Pousse, a monthly environmental film program for young kids.

Since 2012, the Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle has been introducing young children aged two to fivea public that rarely goes to the moviesto environmental issues through an annual program of animated films during the Fête de la Nature in May. It’s been hugely successful, but it’s too short for the seeds that have been sown to germinate and grow over time. Children and parents have been asking for more, so the museum, aiming to create long-lasting initiatives, decided to expand this event, now called Pousse-Pousse. One Saturday a month, kids can now view a film that focuses on learning about biodiversity while echoing the ongoing events of the museum. These fun and educational shorts are specially selected to spark the curiosity of the youngest viewers, who can then pursue their new knowledge in the various exhibitions. Because learning can start early on and growing up is not just about getting bigger, young kids deserve their own events, to discover the world and sharpen their perceptions.
